Privacy policy

Short and plain: what we collect, why, where it is stored and how to delete it. Site: yknow.app (“Yknow”, “tarot for people who think”).
1. Who is responsible for the data
Data controller: the Yknow project (“tarot for people who think”).
Email for questions and requests: privacy@yknow.app.
2. What we collect
Wait list entry. Your email address, the site language you signed up in, the date and time of your consent, the site address the sign-up came from (for example, yknow.app), and the date we sent you the confirmation email. Each entry gets a service code so that the “unsubscribe” link works.
The “Personality arcana” and “Couple vibe check” calculators. The birth date you enter is sent to our server only to find your card and return the ready-made text. It is not saved in the database, not written to server logs and not shared with anyone.
Technical connection data. Your IP address is processed briefly to protect the site from abuse: to limit the number of requests per minute and to check through Cloudflare Turnstile that a human is filling in the form. On our card calculation server it is kept in memory only and disappears when the server restarts. Hosting providers (Vercel, DigitalOcean) may keep their own technical request logs that can contain an IP address; we do not use them to identify or track visitors.
We collect nothing else: no advertising identifiers, no device data for advertising.
3. Why
- To write to you when the service launches.
- To send you an email confirming that you are on the list.
There are no other mailings and we do not sell data.
4. Legal basis
Your consent. You give it by pressing the button on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8).
5. Where data is stored and who processes it
We use external services. Only the data needed for the service to work passes through them:
- Vercel: site hosting.
- Neon: the database where email addresses are stored. Its servers are in the USA.
- DigitalOcean (USA, New York): the server that calculates the calculators’ results. Email addresses are not stored on it.
- Cloudflare: DNS for the yknow.app domain, anonymous visit statistics (Web Analytics) and protection of forms against automated requests (Turnstile): when a form is submitted, Cloudflare checks that it is filled in by a person and not by a program.
- Resend: sending emails (the confirmation, the launch announcement).
The Turnstile check on forms is performed by Cloudflare. How Cloudflare processes data during this check is described in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which forms part of our policy in this respect.
The servers of these services are located in the USA and other countries. By pressing the button on the form, you consent to your data being passed to these services for the site to work. You can withdraw this consent at any time (section 8).
6. How long we keep it
Your email address and related data are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After you unsubscribe, the address is removed from the database immediately.
7. Cookies
The site does not set advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. For visit statistics (how many people came, to which pages, from which device) we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare states that this service does not collect or use visitors’ personal data and does not record parameters in the page address.
The site saves two settings in your browser (in localStorage): the language you chose and whether sound is on. They are needed only for the site to work and are kept only on your device; you can delete them by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
8. Your rights
At any time you can:
- unsubscribe and withdraw your consent: click the “Unsubscribe” link in any email and your address is removed from the database immediately;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to show you what we store about you, or to correct it.
If you do not have the link at hand, or you need one of the last two items, write to privacy@yknow.app and we will reply within 30 days.
9. Security
Data is sent over a secure connection (HTTPS); only the operator has access to the database. If a breach affecting you occurs, we will tell you by email.
10. Changes
If the policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. We will write to subscribers about significant changes.
